The Uniformed Division Officer position has a stringent vision requirement as a condition of employment. To meet the requirement, applicants MUST have, at a minimum, 1) an uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular (both eyes tested together, 2) a corrected visual acuity of 20/20 binocular (both eyes tested together); and 3) a corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye. The fitness test requires an applicant to perform push-ups, sit-ups, an agility run and 1.5 mile run, and to exceed the required baseline score across all components.
