2 Knowledge of library and collections preservation processes and procedures.**

Applied knowledge of library and preservation processes and procedures to perform the following tasks: 1) process collections for use, preservation and/or storage, 2) house collections-level materials by hand,3) safely remove materials from storage, 4) perform basic repairs to collection materials, 5) construct custom-fitted storage enclosures for library materials,and 6) conduct treatment in a production environment.

Applied knowledge of various collections maintenance equipment, troubleshooting malfunction problems. Participated in ensuring the safe operation of equipment, which may include: 1) board shears 2) guillotine cutter 3) book presses 4) computers 5) mounting presses 6) ultrasonic or heat-welding equipment 7) box-making machines 8) fume hoods, and 9) sewing frames.
