  • Professional engineering degree & have completed courses that included differential & integral calculus & courses (beyond first-year physics/chemistry) in at least 5 of the following areas of engineering science or physics: A-statics, dynamics; B-strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); C-fluid mechanics, hydraulics; D-thermodynamics; E-electrical fields & circuits; F-nature & properties of materials & G-other comparable areas of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics or electronics.
  • Currently registered as a professional engineer in one of the states in the U.S., the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.
  • Successfully passed an Engineer-in-Training examination, or the written test required for professional registration, as administered by a Board of Engineering Examiners in one of the states in the U.S., the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.
  • I possess a combination of college level education, training and/or technical experience that furnished 1-a thorough knowledge of the physical & mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering; and 2-a good understanding, both theoretical & practical, of the engineering sciences & techniques & their applications to one of the branches of engineering. I possess a combination of college level education, training, and/or technical experience. I have completed at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, & engineering sciences & in engineering. I have completed courses as listed in Item 2 above. These courses are fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of a professional engineering curriculum accredited by ABET. In addition, I possess progressively responsible work experience that demonstrates that I possess the knowledge, skills & abilities required to perform work as an engineer.
  • I have completed a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering technology or in an appropriate professional field, e.g., physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology. In addition, I have at least one year of professional engineering experience that was acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. I understand that I must provide documentation to support this claim. This may be evidenced by an established plan of training to develop professional engineering competence or several years of professional engineering-type experience.
