The primary purpose of the position is to supervise a variety of professional, administrative and/or technical positions which support maintaining the health, diversity, and sustainability of ecosystems and facilitate customer service. The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of duties, including but not limited to the following:
- Serves as consultant, coach, and supporter of employees in collectively solving problems and carrying out the organizations goals.
- Supervise staff including multiple-resources professionals and technicians involved in the management of Bureau programs such as range, noxious weeds, wildlife, soil, water, air, botanical, recreation, wilderness, riparian, fuels, ecology, and fisheries.
- Plans and implements Field Office budget to accomplish program objectives. - Promotes internal and external communication, including local interest groups, individuals, users, the general public, state and local government, and other Federal personnel.
